Gottfried von Freiberg's historic mouthpiece

"WH"
This replica mouthpiece is a typical Viennese model from the first half of the 20th century. It is inspired by the one used by Gottfried von Freiberg (1908–1962), the renowned principal horn of the Vienna Philharmonic and the first performer of Richard Strauss’s Second Concerto, though it is not an exact replica. The great depth of the bowl is suited to long instruments, such as Viennese horns in F, and contributes to a broader sound as well as a richer legato.
This mouthpiece has attracted a great deal of interest, not least at the Orchestre de Paris, where you will have the pleasure of hearing the richness that the ‘WH’ can bring.

*This mouthpiece can be used on both Viennese and modern horns.
